UNIVERSDAD NACIONAL DE EDUCACIÓN A DISTANCIA (ES)

Founded in 1972, the Spanish National Distance Education University (UNED) increases access to higher education, advocating inclusion, equity and quality through continuously improving its distance learning model. As Spain's largest university, UNED enrols over 160,000 students in bachelor, master, PhD, and lifelong learning programs supported by flexible online and blended methodologies to respond to personal and work circumstances, thus making one of its founding objectives possible: universalising quality Higher Education without geographical limits or individual barriers. UNED also actively supports women's educational and professional integration and leads in disability inclusion with targeted programs, serving the largest disabled student population in Spain.

Through its Open UNED portal, the university also promotes open education. UNED model is supported by advanced technology infrastructure, pushing forward digital transformation in management, teaching and learning processes. UNED is also significantly present in open and distance international education associations and networks.
