Kick-off Meeting of DIVE Project Launches at UEH, Vietnam
The DIVE (Digital Transformation in Vietnamese Higher Education) Project officially launched with a kick-off meeting held at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), marking the beginning of a significant initiative aimed at modernizing Vietnam’s higher education sector. The event brought together representatives from 14 partner institutions, including 10 Vietnamese universities and 4 foreign universities.
Funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program, the DIVE Project has a total budget of €794,524 and will run from 2024 to 2027. The project aims to support the digital transformation and modernization of higher education institutions across Vietnam by enhancing institutional capacities, developing digital strategies, and creating a national digital education network.
During the meeting, participants reviewed and discussed the project’s budget plans, roadmap, and the structure of eight distinct work packages. Key activities of the DIVE Project will include faculty and staff training, strategy development, creation of a national digital education network, and organization of national roundtable workshops. These efforts are designed to raise awareness and promote best practices in digital transformation within Vietnam’s higher education landscape.
The kick-off event at UEH marks a promising step forward in fostering international cooperation and innovation to transform Vietnam's higher education for the digital era.
